Consistent with the Government of Guyana (GoG)’s unwavering commitment to reduce poverty, in the year 2000 Guyana adopted the Millennium Declaration along with 188 other countries and thus embraced the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) as the guiding framework for poverty reduction and development.
