In preparation for its participation in the intergovernmental negotiations for the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) the Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs collaborated with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to convene a National Consultative Meeting on the GCM on 4th February 2018.  The meeting provided a forum for government agencies, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to give recommendations that would contribute to Guyana’s input during the final phase in the process towards the adoption of the GCM. First Lady Sandra Granger will be teaming up with the United Nations Children Fund’s (UNICEF) to address the social problem of teenage pregnancy in Guyana, the Ministry of the Presidency (MotP) said.
